Most Worshipful Grand Master, 1937-1938

William H. Parker was born in Otisville, in Genesee County, Michigan on February 23, 1884 and lived his entire life in this village. He received his education in village schools. His father owned a local hardware concern. Parker was employed for forty years with the American Steel and Wire Company (subsidiary of U.S. Steel) as their top salesman.

In July 1913 Brother Parker was married to Miss Catherine M. Smith, of Otisville. They were blessed with one son.

He was raised as a Master Mason in Otisville Lodge No. 401 F. & A.M. on February 6, 1906 and served as Worshipful Master during the years 1924-1925 and 1927. At the time of his election as Grand Marshal he was serving as Secretary. His Masonic affiliations outside of his Lodge are as follows: Lapeer Chapter No. 91 R.A.M.; Genesee Valley Commandery No. 15 K.T.; Bay City Consistory and Coordinate bodies A. & A.S.R.; Elf Khurafeh Temple A.A.O.N.M.S.; St. Martin’s Conclave No. 59 R.C.; and Kishma Grotto. He was also a member of BPOE No. 89, Bay City; Charter member and past president of Tawas Kiwanis Club; and Charter member and past president of Tawas Consistory Club.

He died on February 2, 1955.
